Local Artisan Spotlight: Alexandra Johnson with LemonMoon Products
For years I had admired LemonMoon Products and watched Alex grow her business organically through social media, pop up vendor shows, and just showing up authentically for her business. We began working together in August of 2022 when I invited her down from Sheridan to be a vendor at one of our Brunch Clubs. Her products quickly became a customer favorite and for good reason. When asked what her favorite product she’s ever created is, she gave me two answers: the Lemon Bar Soap or the new Orange Body Lotion.
Alex and I actually went to school together and graduated high school from Campbell County together. Not close friends, but definitely not high school enemies, I always thought Alex a genuinely nice person, and time has proven that right again and again. For 6 years, Alexandra has been making handmade bath and body products that are gentle, great for your skin.
In addition to LemonMoon, she is a wife, mom of two, and step mom to 3 kids! She also recently purchased The Paint Post in Sheridan which is a retail store where they also teach crafting and painting classes for adults and kids! She is inspiringly busy! Besides Magpie, you can find her products in Sheridan at The Paint Post and on her website at lemonmoonproducts.com
One of the questions I have enjoyed asking our Local Artisans is what they wish they would have known 10 years ago. She answered with a sincerity that I think a lot of us can relate to: “I wish I knew how freeing it would be to stop worrying about what other people thought and to just be myself”.
We love carrying LemonMoon products in the store and are proud to be their Gillette stockist and cannot wait to see Alex’s business grow!
